Connecting devices to software, and moving status and data between node, gateway, and service.
The Internet of Things is where software meets physical limits: batteries, unreliable networks, and devices that are not all on the same version.
We connect those nodes to a software service. Status and events are recorded, data moves between device, gateway, and server, and the picture a person sees does not hide the real state. If a device has been quiet for a while, the interface says so.
The design is written for disconnects: what stays local, what syncs, and when the interface must say plainly that the data is not fresh.
